Guinea pig IFABP/FABP2 ELISA Kit

An Assay Genie sandwich ELISA in double-antibody format, this kit is designed for the quantification of Intestinal Fatty Acid-Binding Protein (IFABP/FABP2) in guinea pig samples. Compatible sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Reported sensitivity is 37.5 pg/mL with a working range of 62.5-4000 pg/mL, and components are intended for storage at 2-8°C for 12 months.

Linearity testing at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions produced the following ranges: serum 88-104%, 86-100%, 90-104%; EDTA plasma 82-90%, 91-96%, 88-97%; heparin plasma 81-99%, 85-95%, 82-98%. Spike-and-recovery averages were 93% in serum, 98% in EDTA plasma, and 94% in heparin plasma.

The protocol follows six steps: equilibrate reagents and TMB substrate to room temperature and load standards and samples onto the pre-coated plate; incubate at 37°C for 90 minutes for antigen binding; add biotin-labeled detection antibody and incubate at 37°C for 60 minutes; add HRP-streptavidin (SABC) and incubate at 37°C for 30 minutes; develop color with TMB substrate in the dark for 10–20 minutes; stop the reaction and read absorbance at 450 nm.
