Guinea pig Bax/Bcl-2 Associated X Protein ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie enables quantitative detection of BAX (BCL-2-associated X Protein) in guinea pig samples using a double-antibody, colorimetric workflow. BAX is a pro-apoptotic member of the BCL-2 protein family, and its dysregulation has been linked to cancer and neurological disorders, making it a relevant biomarker for apoptosis and disease-pathology research.

The assay is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Reagents should be stored at 2–8°C and are stable for 12 months under those conditions. The procedure uses a biotinylated detection antibody, HRP–streptavidin (SABC) and TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm after stop solution is added.

Linearity and recovery have been assessed in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. Linearity at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions falls within 87–104% across these matrices. Recovery ranges and averages are reported as 95–99% (average 97%) for serum, 85–100% (average 91%) for EDTA plasma, and 92–98% (average 95%) for heparin plasma (n = 5 for each).
