GSC2 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA

Manufactured by Assay Genie, this colorimetric cell-based ELISA kit is designed for the sensitive and accurate detection of GSC2 protein expression in cell cultures. The assay uses an indirect ELISA format in which GSC2 is captured by GSC2-specific primary antibodies, while HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies bind the Fc region of the primary antibody to catalyze a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition.

The lysate-free kit can be used to measure relative amounts of GSC2 in cultured adherent cells and to screen the effects of treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals), or activators on GSC2. Reactivity is reported for Human and Mouse samples, with a dynamic range of greater than 5000 Cells. Detection is colorimetric at 450 nm, the kit is supplied in a microplate format, and it is stored at 4°C for 6 Months.

Two normalization methods are included: a monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH serves as an internal positive control, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining method is used to determine cell density so that absorbance values can be normalized to cell amounts.
