GRK2 (Phospho-Ser29)Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

A cell-based immunoassay from Assay Genie enables the qualitative detection of GRK2 phosphorylated at Ser29 in cultured cells. Operating in an indirect ELISA format, the kit captures the phosphorylated target with specific primary antibodies and uses HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies to catalyse a colorimetric reaction read at 450 nm, with a dynamic range greater than 5000 cells.

The assay is lysate-free and provides a high-throughput, sensitive workflow suited to measuring relative levels of GRK2 phosphorylation. It can also be used to screen the effects of various treatments, inhibitors (including siRNA or chemicals), and activators on GRK2 phosphorylation. The kit is reactive with Human, Mouse and Rat samples and is designed for use with adherent cells.

Two normalisation methods are included: a monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH serves as an internal positive control to normalise target absorbance values, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining method can be used after the colorimetric measurement to determine cell density, allowing absorbance values to be adjusted for plating differences.
