GR (Phospho-Ser226)Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Cell-Based ELISA Kit uses a colorimetric readout at 450 nm to detect phosphorylation of the glucocorticoid receptor (GR) at Ser226 directly in cultured adherent cells. The format is a lysate-free, high-throughput indirect ELISA in which phospho-Ser226-specific primary antibodies capture the target and HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies catalyze a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition.

The kit is reactive with human, mouse and rat samples and has a dynamic range of > 5000 Cells. Qualitative measurement of GR (Phospho-Ser226) levels is supported by an included anti-GAPDH monoclonal antibody as an internal positive control for normalizing absorbance values, together with a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining step used to determine cell density and adjust for plating differences.

It is intended for measuring relative GR phosphorylation in cultured cells and for screening the effects of various treatments, inhibitors (e.g., siRNA or chemicals) or activators on GR phosphorylation, making it applicable to studies of cellular signaling pathways and drug development in fields such as cancer, inflammation, and metabolic disorders.
