Description

From Assay Genie, this cell-based ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of GIT2 protein levels in cell lysates or culture supernatants, using colorimetric detection at 450 nm. The assay follows an indirect ELISA format in which GIT2 is captured by target-specific primary antibodies and detected via HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies. It can be used to measure relative GIT2 amounts in cultured cells and to screen the effects of various treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals), or activators.

The kit is configured for a 96-well microplate format with a dynamic range of > 5000 cells and is reactive with human, mouse, and rat samples. It is suitable for use with serum, plasma, and lysate samples. A monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH is included as an internal positive control for normalizing target absorbance, and Crystal Violet whole-cell staining is provided for determining cell density. Storage is at 4°C for 6 months.

GIT2 (also known as ARF GTPase-activating protein GIT2) is described in UniProt as possessing ADP-ribosylation factor (ARF) GTPase-activating protein (GAP) activity. It interacts with paxillin and PIX exchange factors and is involved in integrin-mediated cell adhesion, regulation of Golgi and actin cytoskeletal organization, and cell motility.
