The Assay Genie Tetrahydrofolic Acid (THFA) ELISA Kit is a competitive binding immunoassay for quantitative measurement of the reduced folate cofactor 5,6,7,8-tetrahydrofolic acid in research specimens. THFA functions as the central one-carbon carrier in folate-mediated metabolism, donating formyl, methylene, and methyl groups for nucleotide biosynthesis, methionine regeneration, and S-adenosylmethionine-dependent methylation pathways relevant to cell proliferation, epigenetics, and antifolate pharmacology studies.
