General Nitrotyrosine (NT) ELISA Kit

The Assay Genie General Nitrotyrosine (NT) ELISA Kit is a competitive inhibition immunoassay that quantifies nitrated tyrosine residues, providing a stable readout of peroxynitrite-mediated oxidative and nitrosative stress. Nitrotyrosine is a post-translational modification generated when reactive nitrogen species attack tyrosine, making it a broadly used biomarker in cardiovascular disease, neurodegeneration, inflammatory disorders, and metabolic research.

The assay reports a detection range of 0.312 to 20 ng/mL with a sensitivity below 0.1 ng/mL, requiring only 50 µL of sample per well. The competitive format enables measurement of small nitrated species without a matched antibody pair, and the standard protocol completes in roughly 2.5 hours at room temperature on the supplied microplate pre-coated with a nitrotyrosine conjugate.

Reagents are shipped refrigerated for storage at 2-8°C, and the working standard should be aliquoted to limit freeze-thaw cycles. Components are supplied in a single-use 96-well microplate configuration for research use only, supporting reproducible longitudinal and cohort monitoring of peroxynitrite-related damage.
