GATA4 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

Designed for the detection and quantification of GATA4 in cell culture samples, this Cell-Based ELISA Kit from Assay Genie offers a high-throughput, lysate-free workflow for adherent cells and is reactive with human, mouse and rat samples.

The assay uses an indirect ELISA format: GATA4 is captured by target-specific primary antibodies, while HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies bind the Fc region of the primary antibody. The conjugated HRP enzyme catalyses a colorimetric reaction measured at 450 nm. Because this is a qualitative Cell-Based ELISA, normalisation is built into the workflow. A monoclonal anti-human GAPDH antibody is included as an internal positive control, and Crystal Violet whole-cell staining may be used to determine cell density so that absorbance values can be normalised to cell amounts, adjusting for plating differences.

The dynamic range supports analysis of more than 5,000 cells. The kit is stored at 4°C with a stated stability of 6 months and falls within the Epigenetics and Nuclear Signaling research area. It provides a sensitive approach for measuring relative GATA4 expression in cultured cells and for screening the effects that treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals) or activators have on the target.
