Gastrin Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

This Cell-Based ELISA from Assay Genie is designed for the qualitative measurement of Gastrin protein expression in cultured cells, without the need for lysate preparation. The assay uses an indirect ELISA format in which Gastrin-specific primary antibodies capture the target, and HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies bind the Fc region of the primary antibody to catalyze a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition. The workflow is suited to high-throughput screening of treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals) and activators on Gastrin levels, and reactivity is reported for Human, Mouse and Rat samples.

Detection is colorimetric and read at 450 nm, with a dynamic range of > 5000 Cells. Normalization of the qualitative signal is supported by an included monoclonal anti-GAPDH antibody serving as an internal positive control, together with a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining step that allows absorbance values to be adjusted to cell density and plating differences. The plate format is a 96-well microplate suitable for adherent cells, and the kit is stored at 4°C with a stated stability of 6 months.
