GAS41 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA

A colorimetric cell-based ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the measurement of GAS41 protein expression in cultured cells. The assay uses an indirect ELISA format, in which GAS41 is captured by target-specific primary antibodies and detected with HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies, providing a qualitative read-out of relative GAS41 levels without the need for lysate preparation.

The kit is reactive with human and mouse samples and is suited to adherent cells. It can be used to measure baseline GAS41 expression as well as to screen the effects of treatments, inhibitors (including siRNA or chemical compounds), and activators. A monoclonal anti-GAPDH antibody is included as an internal positive control for normalizing target absorbance, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining step allows further adjustment of readings to cell density. The stated dynamic range is greater than 5000 cells, with colorimetric detection at 450 nm and storage at 4°C for 6 months. The target analyte, GAS41, is encoded by the YEATS4 gene and is a component of the NuA4 histone acetyltransferase complex, which is involved in transcriptional activation through acetylation of nucleosomal histones H4 and H2A.
