Fyn (Phospho-Tyr530)Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

Assay Genie offers a Cell-Based ELISA kit for the qualitative detection of FYN protein phosphorylation at tyrosine 530. The colorimetric assay uses an indirect ELISA format in which target-specific primary antibodies capture Fyn (Phospho-Tyr530), and HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies catalyze a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition. The kit is reactive with Human, Mouse, and Rat samples and is intended for adherent cells. It provides a dynamic range of > 5000 Cells and is read at 450 nm.

Researchers can use the kit to measure relative levels of phosphorylated Fyn in cultured cells and to screen the effects of various treatments, inhibitors, or activators on Fyn phosphorylation. Because the assay is qualitative, two normalization approaches are included: a monoclonal GAPDH antibody that serves as an internal positive control, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining method that enables absorbance values to be normalized to cell density.

FYN is a Src-family tyrosine kinase involved in the control of cell growth and in cellular signaling pathways that regulate proliferation, differentiation, and survival. The kit is designed for research into signal transduction events and the activation status of FYN across different cell types and conditions.
