Fyn Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

A cell-based colorimetric ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the qualitative detection of Fyn protein expression in cultured cells. The assay uses a 96-well microplate format and an indirect ELISA approach, in which Fyn-specific primary antibodies are bound by HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies; a color reaction is generated on substrate addition and read at 450 nm. According to the manufacturer, the kit is lysate-free, high-throughput and sensitive, and can be used to measure relative Fyn levels in cells as well as to screen the effects of treatments, inhibitors (e.g. siRNA or chemicals) or activators on the target.

Reactivity is stated for Human, Mouse and Rat samples, with the intended sample type being adherent cells. The kit's dynamic range is given as > 5000 Cells. For normalization, a monoclonal anti-human GAPDH antibody is supplied as an internal positive control, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining step is included to determine cell density so absorbance values can be corrected for plating differences.
