FRK Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA

This Cell-Based ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is designed for the detection of FRK (Fyn-related kinase) levels in cell lysates and culture supernatants, offering high sensitivity and specificity for accurate and reproducible results across a variety of research applications. FRK is a tyrosine kinase of the Src family that functions as a key protein in cell signaling pathways regulating processes such as cell growth, differentiation, and survival, and abnormalities in its expression and activity have been linked to diseases including cancer and neurodegenerative disorders.

The kit is a convenient, lysate-free, high-throughput assay that uses an indirect ELISA format: FRK is captured by FRK-specific primary antibodies, and HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies bind the Fc region of the primary antibody to catalyze a colorimetric reaction measured at 450 nm upon substrate addition. It can be used to measure relative FRK amounts in cultured cells and to screen the effects of various treatments, activators or inhibitors. A monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH is included as an internal positive control for normalization, and Crystal Violet whole-cell staining may be used to determine cell density. The assay is reactive with Human, Mouse and Rat samples, intended for adherent cells in a 96-Well Microplate format, with a dynamic range of > 5000 Cells and recommended storage at 4°C for 6 months.
