Fos Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, the Fos Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit is a lysate-free, high-throughput in-cell ELISA designed to detect Fos protein expression in cultured cells. The assay uses an indirect ELISA format in which Fos-specific primary antibodies capture the target and HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies catalyze a colorimetric reaction measured at 450 nm, allowing researchers to measure relative Fos levels in adherent cell samples. The kit is suitable for screening the effects of treatments, inhibitors, or activators on Fos expression.

Reactivity is established for human, mouse, and rat samples, and the dynamic range supports more than 5,000 cells. Because the assay is qualitative, normalization relies on two approaches: an included anti-GAPDH monoclonal antibody serves as an internal positive control for target absorbance values, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining method is used to determine cell density and adjust for plating differences. The kit is supplied in a 96-well microplate format and is intended for storage at 4°C with a stability of 6 months.
