Description

From Assay Genie, this colorimetric cell-based ELISA kit is designed for the detection of FGFR1 phosphorylated at tyrosine 766 in cell samples. Phosphorylated FGFR1 at tyrosine 766 plays a role in cell signaling pathways, particularly in the regulation of cell growth, differentiation, and survival, making it a relevant target for studies of cancer, developmental disorders, and metabolic diseases.

The format is convenient, lysate-free, and high-throughput for measuring relative levels of phosphorylated FGFR1 in cultured cells, and can be used to screen treatments, inhibitors, or activators that affect FGFR1 phosphorylation. Reactivity covers human, mouse, and rat samples, with a dynamic range of > 5000 cells. Detection is achieved colorimetrically at 450 nm through an indirect ELISA format, in which phospho-specific primary antibodies capture the target and HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies catalyze the color reaction upon substrate addition.

A monoclonal anti-GAPDH antibody is included as an internal positive control for normalizing the target absorbance, and Crystal Violet whole-cell staining can be used to determine cell density after the colorimetric measurement. Sub type is phospho-specific, and the target corresponds to gene FGFR1 (Gene ID: 2260; UniProt ID: P11362). The assay is performed on adherent cells using a 96-well microplate format.
