FGFR1 Oncogene Partner Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

A cell-based ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the accurate quantification of FGFR1 oncogene partner levels in cell lysates. The kit provides a lysate-free, high-throughput and sensitive approach for measuring the relative amounts of FGFR1 oncogene partner in cultured cells, and can be used to screen the effects that various treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals) or activators have on the target protein.

Qualitative determination is achieved by an indirect ELISA format: FGFR1 oncogene partner is captured by target-specific primary antibodies, while HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies bind the Fc region of the primary antibody. The conjugated HRP catalyses a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition, with absorbance read at 450 nm. A monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH is included as an internal positive control for normalising target absorbance values, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining step may be used after the colorimetric readout to determine cell density and adjust for plating differences.

Reactivity is reported for human, mouse and rat samples, with a dynamic range of > 5000 cells. The kit is intended for adherent cells and is supplied in a microplate format for storage at 4 °C, with a stated stability of 6 months.
