FGFR1 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this cell-based ELISA kit is designed to detect and measure levels of FGFR1 (fibroblast growth factor receptor 1) protein in cell lysates. The kit is described as a convenient, lysate-free, high-throughput and sensitive assay for profiling FGFR1 expression in cultured cells, and can be used to measure the relative amounts of FGFR1 as well as to screen the effects of various treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals) or activators on FGFR1. FGFR1 is highlighted as a key player in cell growth, differentiation and survival, making it an important target for research into cancer, developmental disorders and other conditions.

Detection uses an indirect ELISA format with a colorimetric readout measured at 450 nm, in which FGFR1 is captured by FGFR1-specific primary antibodies and detected via HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies. The kit is reactive with Human, Mouse and Rat samples and has a dynamic range of > 5000 Cells. A monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH is included as an internal positive control for normalising target absorbance values, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining step may be used to determine cell density, allowing results to be normalised to cell number. The assay is supplied in a 96-well microplate format and is stored at 4°C for 6 months.
