FANCD2 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

Assay Genie offers a cell-based ELISA kit for the sensitive detection and quantification of FANCD2 protein in cell lysates and tissue samples derived from Human, Mouse, and Rat sources. The colourimetric assay, read at 450 nm, is suited to research into DNA repair pathways and the maintenance of genomic stability, areas in which FANCD2 plays a key role.

The kit operates on a lysate-free, indirect ELISA principle. FANCD2-specific primary antibodies capture the target protein, and HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies then catalyse a colourimetric reaction upon substrate addition. It supports a dynamic range of greater than 5000 cells, is configured for use with a 96-well microplate, and is suitable for high-throughput screening of treatments such as siRNA or chemical compounds in cultured cells.

A monoclonal anti-GAPDH antibody is included as an internal positive control for normalising target absorbance values. Following colourimetric measurement, a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining method may be used to determine cell density and adjust for plating differences. The qualitative nature of the assay allows researchers to measure relative FANCD2 expression in adherent cell lines.
