FAM84B Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA

This Cell-Based ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for qualitative assessment of FAM84B protein expression in adherent cell cultures. The assay uses a lysate-free, indirect ELISA format in which FAM84B is captured by target-specific primary antibodies and detected via HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies that catalyze a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition. It can be used to measure relative FAM84B levels in cell culture samples and to screen for the effects of various treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals), or activators on FAM84B expression.

Detection is colorimetric at 450 nm, with reactivity against human FAM84B and a stated dynamic range of > 5000 Cells. The microplate-based assay is stored at 4°C with a stability of 6 Months. A monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH is included as an internal positive control for normalizing target absorbance values. After the colorimetric measurement of HRP activity, the Crystal Violet whole-cell staining method may be used to determine cell density, allowing absorbance values to be normalized to cell amounts so that plating differences can be adjusted.
