F-TESTO (Free Testoterone) ELISA Kit (UNFI0105)

This Free Testosterone competitive ELISA from Assay Genie quantifies the unbound, biologically active fraction of circulating testosterone in serum or plasma specimens. The assay uses a microplate-based competitive immunoassay format in which analyte in the specimen competes with a testosterone-coated solid phase for binding to a specific labelled antibody. Signal intensity is inversely proportional to free testosterone concentration in the well.

Free testosterone represents only about 1-2% of total circulating testosterone, which is why a competitive format is required to resolve these low picogram-level concentrations reliably. The capture antibody has been validated to show no significant cross-reactivity with closely related steroids at physiological concentrations.

Reagents should be kept frozen at -20°C and divided into aliquots to limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles of working solutions. Each component is supplied for research use only as an in vitro immunoassay reagent and should be handled with standard laboratory precautions.
