Ezrin Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA

This cell-based ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the qualitative detection and relative quantification of Ezrin protein expression in cultured cells. Ezrin is a member of the ERM (ezrin, radixin, moesin) protein family and functions as a cross-linker between the plasma membrane and the actin-based cytoskeleton, playing a key role in cell surface structure adhesion, migration, and organisation.

The assay uses an indirect ELISA format in which Ezrin is captured by Ezrin-specific primary antibodies and detected using HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies that catalyse a colorimetric reaction read at 450 nm. The kit is lysate-free, high throughput, and provides a dynamic range of > 5000 Cells, with reactivity confirmed against Human, Mouse, and Rat samples. A monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH is included as an internal positive control for normalising target absorbance values, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining method can be used to determine cell density for further normalisation.

Suitable for adherent cell cultures, the kit is intended for measuring relative Ezrin levels and for screening the effects of treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals), or activators on Ezrin expression. The 96-Well Microplate format should be stored at 4°C with a stated stability of 6 Months.
