ES8L1 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA

Assay Genie offers a Cell-Based ELISA kit for the qualitative detection of ES8L1 protein expression in cultured cells. The assay uses an indirect ELISA format in which ES8L1-specific primary antibodies are paired with HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies, producing a colorimetric read-out at 450 nm. The kit is reactive with human and mouse samples and supports a dynamic range of > 5000 Cells, providing a tool for measuring relative ES8L1 levels and for screening the effects that various treatments, inhibitors, or activators have on ES8L1 expression.

An anti-GAPDH monoclonal antibody is included as an internal positive control to support normalisation of target absorbance values, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining step may be used to determine cell density so that absorbance values can be adjusted for plating differences. Described as a lysate-free, high-throughput and sensitive assay supplied in a 96-well microplate format, the kit is suited to research in cell biology, immunology, and drug discovery. It is intended for storage at 4°C with a stated stability of 6 months.

The target analyte, EPS8L1 (epidermal growth factor receptor kinase substrate 8-like protein 1), is a member of the EPS8 family reported to stimulate guanine exchange activity of SOS1 and to play a role in membrane ruffling and remodelling of the actin cytoskeleton.
