Built for quantitative measurement of Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor A in equine samples, this Assay Genie colorimetric kit supports research use only workflows in vascular biology, angiogenesis, exercise physiology, and equine disease models. VEGF-A is a key regulator of endothelial cell proliferation, vascular permeability, and angiogenic signaling, and accurate quantification in horse samples aids studies of cardiovascular function, wound healing, laminitis, tendon and joint pathology, and reproductive biology.

Each kit contains capture-antibody pre-coated wells, biotinylated detection antibody, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, substrate solution, recombinant VEGF-A standards, and assay buffers sufficient for 96 individual reactions. The two-antibody format binds VEGFA from added samples, and absorbance developed from the enzymatic reaction is read on a standard plate reader and compared against a standard curve for concentration determination.

Validated sample types include equine serum, heparin plasma, EDTA plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, and cell culture supernatants, giving flexibility across in vivo and in vitro experimental designs. Researchers can monitor circulating VEGF-A, assess local expression in injured tissues, or evaluate angiogenic responses to pharmacological interventions in equine models of inflammation, ischemic injury, or tumor growth.

Reagents ship refrigerated and should be stored at 4 degrees C upon arrival. Components remain stable through the printed expiration date when the kit is handled per the included protocol, and the assay is intended for in vitro research applications only.
