Equine Tryptase (TPS) ELISA Kit

Developed for veterinary immunology research by Assay Genie, this Equine Tryptase (TPS) ELISA Kit quantifies mast cell-derived tryptase as a biomarker of degranulation in horses. Investigators studying equine asthma, recurrent airway obstruction, allergic dermatitis, and chronic urticaria use the assay to monitor mast cell activation during disease progression or treatment response. Each kit contains pre-coated microplate strips and all reagents required to perform 96 determinations, and is intended for research use only.

Tryptase is a serine protease stored in mast cell granules and released upon activation, making it a useful indicator of mast cell involvement in inflammatory and hypersensitivity responses. The kit has been validated specifically with equine sample matrices, and components should be refrigerated at the temperatures indicated in the product insert to preserve antibody binding activity through the stated shelf life. Individual reagents are supplied in labeled vials for single use after reconstitution, and the absorbance-based read-out allows quantitative interpretation against the included standard curve.
