Equine Interleukin 6 (IL-6) ELISA Kit

The Assay Genie Equine IL-6 ELISA Kit supports quantitative measurement of interleukin-6 in horse-derived samples for veterinary immunology research, sports medicine investigations in racehorses, and inflammatory biomarker studies. IL-6 is a pro-inflammatory cytokine secreted during infection, endotoxemia, joint inflammation, strenuous exercise, and post-operative trauma, providing a circulating indicator of acute-phase responses in equine subjects.

Built on a pre-coated microtitre plate with matched antibody pairs, the kit includes biotinylated detection reagent, recombinant equine IL-6 standard, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, wash buffer, colorimetric substrate, and stop solution. The standard curve covers a detection range of 15.6 to 1000 pg/mL with a sensitivity less than 5 pg/mL, using a 50 µL sample volume per well. The complete protocol runs approximately 3.5 hours at room temperature with absorbance read on a standard plate reader.

Unopened components should be refrigerated until the expiration date; reconstituted standards and biotinylated reagent should be aliquoted and frozen at -20 °C for long-term use, avoiding repeated freeze-thaw cycles. All reagents are supplied for research use only and are not validated for clinical diagnostic applications.
