Equine Glucagon Like Peptide 1 (GLP1) ELISA Kit

The immunoassay employs a species-specific antibody pair tuned for horse samples, with no significant cross-reactivity to glucagon, GIP, or oxyntomodulin under standard assay conditions.

Equine GLP-1 is an incretin peptide secreted by intestinal L-cells following nutrient intake, where it potentiates glucose-dependent insulin secretion from pancreatic beta cells and suppresses glucagon release. In horses, circulating GLP-1 concentrations are investigated in studies of equine metabolic syndrome, insulin dysregulation, pituitary pars intermedia dysfunction, and dietary intervention trials, making this kit a useful tool for endocrinology and equine metabolism research.

Each kit contains a pre-coated microplate, assay diluent, recombinant GLP-1 standards, biotinylated detection antibody, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, wash buffer, TMB substrate solution, and stop reagent.
