EPHB2 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

This cell-based ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the qualitative detection of EPHB2 protein expression in cultured cells. It uses a colorimetric detection method read at 450 nm and an indirect ELISA format in which EPHB2 is captured by target-specific primary antibodies, with HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies binding the Fc region of the primary antibody to catalyze the colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition. The assay is described as lysate-free and high throughput, and can be used to measure relative EPHB2 levels as well as to screen the effects that various treatments, inhibitors (e.g. siRNA or chemicals), or activators have on EPHB2.

For normalization, a monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH is included as an internal positive control, and following HRP colorimetric measurement, the Crystal Violet whole-cell staining method may be used to determine cell density so absorbance values can be normalized to cell amounts. The stated dynamic range is > 5000 cells, the kit is reactive with human samples, and storage conditions are 4 °C with 6 months stability.
