EPHB1/2 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this cell-based ELISA kit enables qualitative detection of EPHB1/2 protein expression in cultured cells through a colorimetric method measured at 450 nm. The lysate-free, high-throughput assay uses an indirect ELISA format in which EPHB1/2 is captured by target-specific primary antibodies while HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies bind the Fc region of the primary antibody and catalyse a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition.

Reactivity includes Human, Mouse, and Rat samples, with a dynamic range of > 5000 Cells. A monoclonal anti-GAPDH antibody is supplied as an internal positive control for normalising target absorbance values, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining method may be used to determine cell density and correct for plating differences. The kit supports measuring relative EPHB1/2 levels in adherent cells and screening the effects of treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals), and activators on target expression.

Storage is at 4°C with 6 months stability, and the assay is supplied in a 96-Well Microplate format. EPHB1 is a receptor tyrosine kinase of the Eph family that binds ephrin-B ligands (ephrin-B1, -B2 and -B3) and participates in cell signalling, axon guidance, cell adhesion, angiogenesis, and neurogenesis.
