Description

From Assay Genie, this Cell-Based ELISA Kit is designed for the quantitative detection of EPHB1, EPHB2, EPHB3, and EPHB4 levels in cell lysates, with reactivity confirmed for both Human and Mouse samples. The assay uses a Colorimetric 450 nm detection method in a 96-Well Microplate format and operates over a dynamic range of > 5000 Cells, with a stated storage stability of 4°C for 6 Months.

The kit provides a lysate-free, high-throughput workflow suitable for adherent cells, in which EPHB1/2/3/4 is captured by target-specific primary antibodies and detected using HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies that catalyse a colour reaction upon substrate addition. Results are normalised in two ways — a monoclonal anti-GAPDH antibody serves as an internal positive control, while the Crystal Violet whole-cell staining method is used to determine cell density. These combined normalisation methods make the kit suitable for measuring relative EPHB1/2/3/4 expression and for screening the effects of treatments, siRNA, or chemical activators and inhibitors.

The Eph family of receptor tyrosine kinases, including EphB1–EphB4, plays critical roles in cellular processes such as cell adhesion, migration, and signalling. Dysregulation of these Eph receptors has been implicated in cancer, nervous system disorders, and developmental abnormalities, making them important targets for research and therapeutic development.
