EPHA5 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

This Cell-Based ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is designed for the qualitative detection of EPHA5 protein levels in cell lysates and tissue samples. The assay uses a colorimetric detection method read at 450 nm in an indirect ELISA format, in which EPHA5-specific primary antibodies capture the target and HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies bind the Fc region of the primary antibody to catalyze a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition.

Lysate-free and suited to high-throughput workflows, the kit enables measurement of relative EPHA5 expression in cultured adherent cells and screening for the effects of treatments, inhibitors, or activators. A monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH is included as an internal positive control for normalization. Following HRP activity measurement via substrate addition, the Crystal Violet whole-cell staining method can be used to determine cell density, allowing absorbance values to be normalized to cell amounts.

Reactive with Human, Mouse, and Rat samples, the kit has a dynamic range of greater than 5000 cells and is stored at 4°C with a stated stability of 6 months. EPHA5 is a receptor tyrosine kinase involved in cell signaling and development, with roles in neuronal migration and axon guidance, and has been implicated in neurological disorders such as Alzheimer's disease as well as developmental abnormalities.
