ELL Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA

Manufactured by Assay Genie, this colorimetric cell-based ELISA kit targets the ELL protein in human and mouse samples, with a dynamic range of > 5000 Cells. The kit measures ELL in serum, plasma and cell lysate samples and is suited to adherent cell workflows. It is formatted as a 96-Well Microplate and read at 450 nm, with storage at 4 °C for 6 Months.

The assay uses an indirect ELISA format in which ELL is captured by ELL-specific primary antibodies, and HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies bind the Fc region of the primary antibody. The conjugated HRP catalyses a colorimetric reaction on substrate addition, allowing qualitative determination of ELL concentration. A monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH is included as an internal positive control for normalising target absorbance values, and the Crystal Violet whole-cell staining method can be used to determine cell density and adjust for plating differences.

As a lysate-free, high-throughput and sensitive kit, it can be used both to measure the relative amounts of ELL in cultured cells and to screen for the effects of treatments, inhibitors such as siRNA or chemicals, and activators on ELL.
