ELAVL2 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA

From Assay Genie, this Cell-Based ELISA kit enables quantitative measurement of ELAVL2 in cell lysates and tissue samples. The assay uses an indirect ELISA format with colorimetric detection at 450 nm, offering a lysate-free, high-throughput workflow for profiling ELAVL2 protein expression in cultured cells.

Reactivity covers human, mouse, and rat samples, with a stated dynamic range of > 5000 Cells. The kit measures relative ELAVL2 levels in cultured cells and supports screening of treatments, inhibitors, or activators. A monoclonal anti-GAPDH antibody is included as an internal positive control for normalisation, and Crystal Violet whole-cell staining enables cell density correction after the HRP-substrate readout.

ELAVL2, also known as HuB, is a neural-specific RNA-binding protein of the RRM elav family with a molecular weight of 40kDa. It contributes to post-transcriptional gene regulation, including mRNA stability, splicing, and translation, and recognises a GAAA motif in target 3'-UTRs. The kit is supplied in a 96-Well Microplate format suitable for adherent cell samples and is stored at 4°C for up to 6 months.
