EGFR (Phospho-Tyr869)Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

A cell-based ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the qualitative detection of phosphorylated EGFR at Tyr869 in cultured adherent cells. The assay uses an indirect ELISA format in which target-specific primary antibodies capture EGFR (Phospho-Tyr869), with HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies binding the Fc region of the primary to drive a colorimetric reaction read at 450 nm. The kit is suited to measuring relative levels of phosphorylated EGFR in response to treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals), or activators, supporting studies of EGFR signaling pathways and drug development research.

Reactivity covers human, mouse, and rat samples, with a stated dynamic range of > 5000 Cells. A monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH is included as an internal positive control for normalization, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining step can be used to determine cell density and adjust for plating differences.

Phosphorylated EGFR at Tyr869 is implicated in cell growth, survival, and proliferation, and dysregulation of EGFR signaling is associated with various cancers, making this a relevant target for therapeutic research.
