The E2F-5 Transcription Factor Activity Assay from Assay Genie provides a DNA-binding ELISA workflow for quantifying active E2F-5 transcription factor levels in nuclear and whole-cell lysates. E2F-5 governs late G1 and S-phase progression, partnering with retinoblastoma-family pocket proteins p107 and p130 to maintain quiescence in terminally differentiated cells. Each kit supplies a pre-coated microplate bearing the E2F consensus response element, a specific anti-E2F-5 capture antibody, HRP conjugate, and complete assay buffers; roughly 20 uL of nuclear lysate sample is loaded per well for the binding reaction. Reagents are shipped on dry ice and should be stored at -20 °C, with freeze-thaw cycles of the antibody limited to preserve performance.
