Dolphin IL-8 (CXCL8)DIY ELISA Kit

The Assay Genie Dolphin IL-8 (CXCL8) DIY ELISA Kit enables quantitative measurement of the CXCL8 chemokine in dolphin research samples through a do-it-yourself (DIY) workflow in which investigators coat their own microplate wells with the supplied capture antibody.

This product targets interleukin-8, an inflammatory chemokine that drives neutrophil chemotaxis and is widely used as a biomarker of innate immune activation. Marine mammal researchers studying infectious disease, environmental stress, or wound healing in cetaceans can apply the kit to track inflammatory responses across individuals and study cohorts.

The DIY bulk format supplies sufficient capture antibody, biotinylated detection antibody, recombinant standard, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, TMB substrate, stop solution, wash buffer, and assay diluent to coat and run up to 10 microplates. This makes the format practical for longitudinal monitoring studies and large sample sets. Unopened kits are shipped with refrigerated packs, and the standard vial should be aliquoted and frozen after reconstitution to preserve activity across repeated runs.
