Dog IL-4 ELISA Kit (CNEB0027)

The assay shows specificity for natural and recombinant dog IL-4.

IL-4 is a secreted cytokine (UniProt O77762) with central roles in immunity. It participates in B-cell activation processes, acts as a costimulator of DNA synthesis, induces expression of class II MHC molecules on resting B-cells, enhances secretion and cell surface expression of IgE and IgG1, and regulates the low affinity Fc receptor for IgE (CD23) on lymphocytes and monocytes. It also positively regulates IL31RA expression in macrophages. Synonyms include B-cell stimulatory factor 1, Lymphocyte stimulatory factor 1, and BSF-1.
