Dog Glutamate decarboxylase 2 (GAD2) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative detection of canine Glutamate decarboxylase 2 (GAD2), also referred to as GAD-65 or the 65 kDa glutamic acid decarboxylase isoform. The assay targets natural and recombinant canine GAD2 and is intended for research use only, including cell biology studies into the enzyme's role in catalysing the production of the neurotransmitter GABA.

Performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.312–20 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.091 ng/mL. Linearity has been established across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma at dilution ratios from 1:2 through 1:16. The reported molecular weight of canine GAD2 is 65,419 Da (UniProt accession Q4PRC2), and the protein functions as a homodimer.

The kit is validated for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants, and other biological fluids, supporting a broad range of canine sample types in veterinary and biomedical research.
