DNase I, 25 mg

Purified bovine pancreas endonuclease supplied at 25 mg per vial for cleavage of single- and double-stranded DNA into short oligonucleotide fragments. Sourced from STEMCELL Technologies, this DNase I is formulated for tissue dissociation workflows, where it digests extracellular DNA released from damaged cells during enzymatic digestion with collagenase and other proteases. Including DNase I in digestion cocktails reduces sample viscosity, prevents clumping, and supports higher viable cell yields in primary cell culture protocols, including cord blood processing, bone marrow cell isolation, and flow cytometry sample preparation. The enzyme is supplied as a lyophilized powder for flexible reconstitution in aqueous buffer with calcium and magnesium cofactors, and aliquoting on receipt preserves activity across multiple experiments. Store frozen at -20 degrees C and protect from light; aliquots remain stable when handled to limit freeze-thaw cycling. Each vial supports a recommended working concentration of approximately 0.1 mg/mL in digestion buffers across many independent isolations from research samples.
