DLX5 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA

From Assay Genie, this colorimetric cell-based ELISA kit is designed for the accurate measurement of DLX5 levels in cell lysates and tissue homogenates. The assay uses an indirect ELISA format with a cell-based workflow and is intended for use with adherent cells, with reactivity against Human, Mouse, and Rat samples.

DLX5 is a transcription factor that plays a vital role in skeletal development and bone formation, and its dysregulation has been linked to various bone disorders, making it a key target for skeletal disease and therapeutic research. In the assay, DLX5 is captured by DLX5-specific primary antibodies and detected with HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies that catalyze a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition, read at 450 nm, with a dynamic range of greater than 5000 cells.

The kit is a lysate-free, high-throughput, and sensitive assay suitable for measuring the relative amounts of DLX5 in cultured cells as well as screening the effects of various treatments, inhibitors such as siRNA or chemicals, and activators on DLX5. A monoclonal GAPDH antibody is included as an internal positive control for normalization, and Crystal Violet whole-cell staining may be used to determine cell density. The plate is supplied in a 96-well microplate format for storage at 4°C for 6 months, and the research area is cell biology.
