Description

Assay Genie offers a high-quality cell-based ELISA kit designed for the accurate detection of Diacylglycerol kinase delta (DGKD) levels in cell samples. The kit provides high sensitivity and specificity, enabling reliable and reproducible results across a variety of research applications. DGKD is a key enzyme involved in lipid metabolism and cell signalling pathways, and its dysregulation has been associated with diseases such as cancer, diabetes, and neurological disorders, making it a valuable biomarker for studying these conditions and supporting the development of potential therapeutic strategies.

The assay uses a convenient, lysate-free, high-throughput and sensitive indirect ELISA format. DGKD is captured by DGKD-specific primary antibodies, while HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies bind the Fc region of the primary antibody, catalysing a colorimetric reaction measured at 450 nm upon substrate addition. A monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH is included as an internal positive control for normalising target absorbance values, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining method is supplied for determining cell density after the colorimetric measurement.

The kit is reactive with human samples, is intended for adherent cells, and has a dynamic range of more than 5000 cells. It is supplied in a 96-well microplate format and should be stored at 4°C for up to 6 months. According to UniProt (Q16760), the target DGKD is a cytoplasmic enzyme that belongs to the eukaryotic diacylglycerol kinase family, has a molecular weight of 130,326 Da, and phosphorylates diacylglycerol to produce phosphatidic acid.
