DCLK2 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA

From Assay Genie's research portfolio comes an In-Cell ELISA kit designed for the detection and analysis of DCLK2 (Doublecortin Like Kinase 2) protein levels in adherent cell samples. The kit provides a convenient, lysate-free, high-throughput assay for measuring relative DCLK2 expression in cultured cells, and for screening the effects that various treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals), or activators have on DCLK2.

The assay uses a colorimetric detection method at 450 nm in an indirect ELISA format. DCLK2 is captured by DCLK2-specific primary antibodies, while HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies bind the Fc region of the primary antibody, enabling HRP-catalysed colour development upon substrate addition. A monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH is included as an internal positive control for normalising target absorbance values. For cell density normalisation, a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining method may be used to determine cell density, allowing absorbance values to be normalised to cell amounts and plating differences to be adjusted. The kit reacts with human and mouse samples, has a dynamic range of > 5000 Cells, is supplied in a microplate format, and is stable at 4°C for 6 months.
