Daxx Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this In-Cell ELISA Kit is designed for the qualitative detection of Daxx protein directly in cultured cells using a colorimetric readout at 450 nm. The kit is a convenient, lysate-free, high-throughput assay that uses an indirect ELISA format, in which Daxx is captured by a Daxx-specific primary antibody and detected with an HRP-conjugated secondary antibody that catalyses a colour change upon substrate addition. It is intended for measuring relative Daxx levels in cells and for screening the effects of treatments, inhibitors such as siRNA or chemicals, and activators on Daxx expression.

Reactivity is reported for human samples, and the assay is validated for use with adherent cells. To support normalisation in this qualitative workflow, a monoclonal anti-human GAPDH antibody is included as an internal positive control, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining step is provided to determine cell density so that absorbance values can be adjusted for plating differences. Recommended storage is 4 °C with a stability of 6 months.
