DAK Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA

Assay Genie's Cell-Based ELISA provides a lysate-free, high-throughput workflow for measuring DAK protein expression directly in cultured cells. The indirect ELISA format uses DAK-specific primary antibodies paired with HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies that catalyze a colorimetric reaction read at 450 nm, while an included anti-GAPDH monoclonal antibody and an optional Crystal Violet whole-cell staining step allow normalization for cell density and plating differences.

The kit is reactive with Human, Mouse and Rat samples and is suitable for adherent cell culture. It supports profiling of relative DAK levels in cultured cells as well as screening the effects of treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals) and activators on DAK expression. DAK, also known as TKFC (triokinase/FMN cyclase; UniProt Q3LXA3), is a member of the dihydroxyacetone kinase family that phosphorylates dihydroxyacetone and glyceraldehyde and processes ribonucleoside diphosphate-X substrates including FAD, with a reported molecular weight of 54,793 Da. The assay has a dynamic range of > 5000 Cells and is supplied in a 96-well microplate format with storage at 4°C for 6 months.
