Cyclin L1 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

This cell-based ELISA from Assay Genie is designed for the detection of Cyclin L1 levels in adherent cell samples, providing a sensitive tool for cell cycle and proliferation research. Cyclin L1 is involved in cell cycle regulation, and its dysregulation has been linked to cancer and neurodegenerative disorders, making it a useful biomarker for studying these conditions.

The assay uses a microplate format with colorimetric detection at 450 nm and is validated for human, mouse, and rat samples. It has a dynamic range of > 5000 cells, and the kit is intended to be stored at 4°C for 6 months. The target gene CCNL1 encodes cyclin-L1 isoform 1, an oncoprotein of approximately 60 kDa that associates with the PITSLRE kinase and is involved in pre-mRNA processing, with chromosomal location 3q25.31.

Using an indirect ELISA format, the kit captures Cyclin L1 with target-specific primary antibodies, which are then bound by HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies to catalyze a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition. A monoclonal anti-GAPDH antibody is included as an internal positive control for normalizing target absorbance values, and the Crystal Violet whole-cell staining method can be used to determine cell density for further normalization. The lysate-free workflow allows high-throughput screening of cultured cells and assessment of treatments, inhibitors, or activators on Cyclin L1 expression.
