Cyclin D3 (Phospho-Thr283)Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

A colorimetric, cell-based ELISA kit from Assay Genie for detecting and quantifying Cyclin D3 phosphorylated at threonine 283 in cultured cells. The assay uses an indirect ELISA format in which phospho-specific primary antibodies capture the target and HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies bind the Fc region of the primary antibody, generating a colorimetric signal upon substrate addition. The kit is lysate-free and supports high-throughput screening of treatments, siRNA or chemical inhibitors, and activators that affect Cyclin D3 phosphorylation.

The kit is reactive with Human, Mouse and Rat samples, with a reported dynamic range of > 5000 Cells and colorimetric readout at 450 nm. It is intended for use with adherent cells. A monoclonal anti-human GAPDH antibody is included as an internal positive control for normalising target absorbance, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining step can be used to determine cell density and correct for plating differences between wells.

Cyclin D3 is a regulatory component of the cyclin D3-CDK4 complex that governs the G1/S transition of the cell cycle, and phosphorylation at Thr283 has been linked to its function in cell-cycle regulation and to disease. The kit is classified as a Phospho sub-type and targets CCND3 (Gene ID: 896; UniProt ID: P30281; OMIM: 123834; Unigene: Hs.534307).
