Cyclin D3 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

This cell-based ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed to measure Cyclin D3 protein levels directly in cultured cells. It offers a sensitive, high-throughput approach for profiling Cyclin D3 expression and for screening the effects of treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals), or activators on this cell-cycle regulator. The kit has been validated for reactivity with human, mouse, and rat samples.

Detection is achieved by a colorimetric method with absorbance read at 450 nm, using an indirect ELISA format in which Cyclin D3 is captured by target-specific primary antibodies and detected via HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies. A monoclonal anti-GAPDH antibody is included as an internal positive control for normalization, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining step is provided to determine cell density and adjust for plating differences. The assay has a dynamic range of greater than 5000 cells and is supplied in a 96-well microplate format suited to adherent cell samples.

Storage is at 4 °C with a stated stability of 6 months. Cyclin D3 is a regulatory component of the cyclin D3-CDK4 complex that controls progression through the G1/S transition of the cell cycle, and its dysregulation has been linked to cancer and other diseases, making it a useful biomarker for cell biology and drug development research.
