Cyclin D2 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

This cell-based immunoassay from Assay Genie is designed for qualitative detection of Cyclin D2 protein expression in cultured cells. The kit uses an indirect ELISA format in which Cyclin D2 is captured by target-specific primary antibodies and detected using HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies that catalyze a colorimetric reaction at 450 nm upon substrate addition. It is described as lysate-free and high-throughput, allowing measurement of relative Cyclin D2 levels and screening of the effects that various treatments, inhibitors such as siRNA or chemicals, or activators have on Cyclin D2.

The kit is suitable for use with adherent cells and shows reactivity with Human, Mouse, and Rat samples, with a dynamic range of > 5000 Cells. A monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH is included as an internal positive control to normalize target absorbance values, and Crystal Violet whole-cell staining is provided to determine cell density and adjust for plating differences. The assay is supplied in a 96-Well Microplate format and should be stored at 4°C, where it remains stable for 6 Months.

Cyclin D2 is a key regulator of cell cycle progression, acting as a regulatory component of the cyclin D2-CDK4 complex that drives the G(1)/S transition by phosphorylating members of the retinoblastoma protein family.
