Cyclin A Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this cell-based ELISA kit is designed for the precise measurement of Cyclin A levels in cultured cells, supporting research into cell cycle regulation and proliferation. The qualitative assay uses an indirect ELISA format in which Cyclin A-specific primary antibodies capture the target while HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies bind the Fc region of the primary antibody; the conjugated HRP then catalyses a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition.

The assay is configured as a 96-Well Microplate in cell-based ELISA format, with reactivity against human, mouse and rat samples and a dynamic range of > 5000 Cells. Detection is colorimetric at 450 nm, the kit is stored at 4°C with a stated stability of 6 Months, and the recommended sample type is adherent cells.

Normalisation is supported by two methods. A monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH is included as an internal positive control for normalising target absorbance values, and the Crystal Violet whole-cell staining method may be used to determine cell density after the HRP readout. The procedure is lysate-free, high throughput and suitable for screening the effects of various treatments, inhibitors or activators on Cyclin A.
