Description

This Cell-Based ELISA from Assay Genie is designed to measure phosphorylation of Csk (C-terminal Src kinase) at serine 364 in cell lysates. The kit is supplied in 96-well microplate format with colorimetric detection at 450 nm, is reactive with Human, Mouse, and Rat samples, is intended for use with adherent cells, and has a dynamic range of > 5000 Cells.

The kit uses an indirect ELISA format: the Csk (Phospho-Ser364) target is captured by phospho-specific primary antibodies, and HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies bind the Fc region of the primary antibody to catalyze a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition. A monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH is included as an internal positive control for normalizing target absorbance values, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining step can be used to determine cell density. The kit is intended for measuring relative amounts of phosphorylated Csk in cultured cells and for screening the effects of treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals), or activators on Csk phosphorylation.

Csk is a tyrosine kinase of the Csk family that phosphorylates and inhibits Src family kinases, and plays a role in regulating cell growth, differentiation, and apoptosis. Phosphorylation at serine 364 is known to modulate its kinase activity and interactions with other signaling molecules, making it relevant to research in areas such as immunology and cellular signaling networks underlying diseases including cancer, autoimmune disorders, and inflammatory conditions. The kit is categorized within the Immunology research area and is associated with Gene ID 1445 and UniProt ID P41240.
